As of the recent mayoral election at the beginning of April, Mike Torman will be taking the place of Jerry Nicholson as town mayor of Paw Paw. After 18 years, Nicholson is ready to live the easy life of a small town celebrity and transfer power. In his time as mayor, Nicholson explained that he was most proud of his accomplishments on the town water tower and the lengthy and strenuous Peru Street project. He also stressed that, more than anything, he was happy to keep the town together and provide enough local services to keep it all afloat. He hopes that everyone will give Torman a fair shot to fill his shoes and thanked the residents for their support during the last 18 years.
