SUBLETTE - Paula J. Hochstatter, 88, of Sublette passed away Sept. 6, 2019 at OSF Saint Paul Medical Center, Mendota.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Peterstown. Visitation will be from 9:30–11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Paula was born Feb. 11, 1931 in Galena, Mo. to Floyd and Eunice (Hawkins) Perryman. She married Harold Hochstatter on May 11, 1963 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Survivors include one son, James (Gina) Hochstatter of LaSalle; one brother, Robert Perryman of Elmwood; three grandchildren, Floyd (Susan) Jones, Zach (Katie Goble) Hochstatter and Abby Hochstatter; five great-grandchildren, Jaclynn Ridge, Colton Hochstatter, Liam Indigo, Sean Indigo and Calum Indigo; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Rich Perryman and Jeff Jones; and 10 siblings, Jean, Delbert, Floyd, Ralph, Thelma, Shirley, Bonnie, Betty, Jack and J.D.
Paula was a graduate of Beauty Culture School in 1973. She owned and operated Paula’s Beauty Salon for over 25 years. She also worked at Conkey’s and Del Monte in Mendota. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and the Mendota VFW Post 4079 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls and sports in general.
