BLOOMINGTON - Patricia M. Hardy, 50, of Bloomington, passed away July 19, 2018 at Heartland Health Care in Normal.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24 at St. Patrick Church of Merna with Monsignor Gerald T. Ward officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is handling arrangements.

Patricia was born Jan. 16, 1968 in Dixon to William J. and Mary A. (Cassidy) Hardy.

Survivors include her mother of Bloomington; two aunts, Sarah Lyons of Pontiac and Constance Scheuber of Shorewood; and a number of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father on Dec. 28, 1998; three uncles, Clinton and George Cassidy and James Scheuber; one aunt, Elizabeth “Betty” Cassidy; and two cousins, George Cassidy Jr. and Julie Ann Cassidy Carlson.

Patricia received her certification in child care and worked in various daycares in the Bloomington-Normal area. She was passionate about researching her family’s genealogy and cherished spending time with her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Church of Merna, 1001 N. Towanda Barnes Road, Bloomington, IL 61705 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
