LOVES PARK – Sinnissippi Quilters will present “Out of this World” Quilt Show on May 4-5. The exhibit will feature 60 quilts from the traveling exhibit, “Fly Me to the Moon,” to celebrate this year’s 50th anniversary of landing on the moon. Weather permitting, a local astronomy club will bring out the telescope for viewing the sky, too.
The show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Indoor Sports Center, Sportscore II located at 8800 Riverside Blvd., Loves Park.
The exhibit will feature over 300 quilts on display, a merchant mall, silent auction, quilt raffle, certified quilt appraiser, bed turning at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and educational quilting demos all day long.
