MENDOTA - OSF Saint Paul Medical Center honored their volunteers during a breakfast held at the Mendota Civic Center on April 25. The event was part of National Volunteer Week.

In-house, gift shop and Meals on Wheels volunteers were in attendance. Kim Kennedy, in-house volunteer coordinator; Brenda Grobe, gift shop coordinator and Molly Pyszka, Meals on Wheels coordinator all spoke and recognized the value that each volunteer brings to the hospital and those that are served.

Kim Kennedy presented a pin and certificate to Colleen Zinke for 20 years of service as a weekly in-house volunteer. Others who were recognized were Eric Tarr, 15 years; Shirley Jackson, 10 years; and Helen Algiere, Karen Bales, Chris Sanford and Paul Sondgeroth for five years as in-house volunteers.

Pyszka informed the group that over 6,000 meals were provided to Mendota residents by 42 volunteer drivers.
