Old photos to be featured at library event

MENDOTA – Sally Currier Corrigan found a treasure trove of old portraits in a downtown Mendota building. The photographer was R.L. Muzzy (1859-1948).

Currier is showcasing her photo find with some personal narration of delivering the treasures to Muzzy’s subject’s families at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3 at the Graves-Hume Public Library in Mendota.

“It was an amazing find. To think how long the photos had just been left, not even put away carefully, and yet most all were salvageable. The stories that those photos brought out were the real treasure though,” said Currier Corrigan.

Library programs are open to all. No library card required.
