MENDOTA – Northbrook Middle School will hold its eighth grade graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 20 at 6 p.m. at the Northbrook track (formerly Mendota High School football field). The rain date is May 21.

Each graduating student will receive six tickets for family members and friends to attend. Seating will be in the bleachers and on the field and track.

Attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.

“We hope to have beautiful weather and celebrate coming together again,” said Paula Daley, Northbrook principal.

The procession of graduates will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Next will be the presentation of awards – Presidential Education Awards, Reed Rydberg Memorial Award, American Legion Award and James D. Hume Citizenship Award.
