Nominees sought for Distinguished Service Award

AMBOY - In 2015, the Lee County Farm Bureau celebrated its centennial anniversary. Understanding that without the loyal dedication of many members throughout the years, the LCFB would not be the organization it is today, they wish to recognize members for their years of loyal service and for the impact that they have had in agriculture and our community.

Many members have spent countless nights, weekends and hours over the years volunteering their time because they believe in the mission of Farm Bureau and choose to work for the betterment of agriculture. To honor this service the LCFB has established the Lee County Farm Bureau Distinguished Service Award to recognize an individual or couple who has shown exemplary leadership and service to Farm Bureau, agriculture and farmers in Lee County and beyond.

The public is encouraged to nominate people they believe are deserving of this recognition. A short nomination application is available on the Lee County Farm Bureau website at www.leecfb.org. Nominations are due to the Lee County Farm Bureau by Sept. 1.

For more information, please contact them at (815) 857-3531 or leecfb@comcast.net.
