Northbrook Middle School Student Council members have been working hard this school year to support school spirit, promote student involvement, and participate in community service. As an active member in the Illinois Association of Junior High Student Councils (IAJHSC), Northbrook Student Council has donated over $200 to their state service project, Let it Be Us. Recently, the membership collected over $700 as a school-wide service project to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Illinois Chapter. In March, Northbrook Student Council hosted a Shamrock Sampler Volleyball Tournament to raise money for a variety of charities including, Let it be Us, LLS, and IVPADS. Left to right is Grace Leifheit (Treasurer), Ella Massey (President), Jake Jackson, Lily Linden, Courtney Klobucher (Advisor), and Leilani Landeros with a bicycle that student council purchased and is donating to IVPADS. As the school year winds down, Northbrook Middle School student council is looking forward to the IAJHSC Annual Leadership Convention to be held at the end of April in Springfield. (Photo contributed)
