MENDOTA – Northern Illinois School of Christian Excellence (NISCE) in Mendota is gearing up for school this fall. NISCE is part of the ministry at Victory Baptist Church and is located at 505 W. 7th Avenue, Mendota. NISCE offers education for students in preschool through high school. “Many people don’t even know we are here,” stated Sandi Hamiel, NISCE administrator and teacher.
With few local school choices for the youngest of students, NISCE is reaching out to inform the community of their preschool program. Hamiel says she teaches the students numbers and early math concepts, shapes and colors, letters and phonics, songs, Bible memory, and fun, interpretive play. ABeka curriculum is used, as well.
Students do not need to be members of Victory Baptist Church to enroll. For more information, contact Brian Hamiel or Sandi Hamiel at (815) 830-8941, brianhamiel@gmail.com or sandihamiel@gmail.com.
