New Greyhound bus route includes LaSalle Co. stop


Groundbreaking event Sept. 11 in Oglesby

OGLESBY - A ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the new Greyhound Connect Heart of Illinois bus route, which stops at the McDonald’s in Oglesby, will take place at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The ceremony will be held at McDonald’s, 115 N. Lewis Ave. Oglesby.

The Heart of Illinois Route has daily runs from Chicago to Danville and from Danville to Chicago. Scheduled stops include:

Chicago to Danville

  • 6:45 a.m. - Chicago, 630 W. Harrison St.
  • 7:35 a.m. - Elgin, 2320 N. Randall Road
  • 8:35 a.m. - Rockford, 725 N. Lyford Road
  • 9:05 a.m. - Rochelle, 900 Petro Dr. (departs 9:20 a.m.)
  • 10:15 a.m. - Oglesby, 115 N. Lewis St.
  • 11:25 a.m. - Bloomington-Normal, 11 Uptown Circle
  • 12:20 p.m. - Champaign, 45 E. University Ave. (departs 1 p.m.)
  • 1:40 p.m. - Danville, 101 N. Hazel St.

Danville to Chicago

  • 11:05 a.m. - Danville, 101 N. Hazel St.
  • 11:45 a.m. - Champaign, 45 E. University Ave. (departs 12:35 p.m.)
  • 1:30 p.m. - Bloomington-Normal, 11 Uptown Circle
  • 2:40 p.m. - Oglesby, 115 N. Lewis St.
