New batting cage at MHS dedicated in memory of former Trojan

Mike and Kaela Bokus address those assembled for the July 22 dedication of a new batting cage in memory of their son, Ben, for his dedication and love for the game of baseball. Ben was a member of the MHS Class of 2018.

MENDOTA – The Mendota High School baseball and softball programs have been enhanced by the construction of a two-person batting cage located between the baseball and softball diamonds.

The batting cage was made possible through a monetary donation by Mike and Kaela Bokus in memory of their son, Ben, who was a member of the Trojan baseball team during his high school years. The batting cage was dedicated on July 22.

Also contributing to the construction of the batting cage were Kenny and Eli Otterbach, who volunteered their time for excavation; the Mendota Quarterback Club, which paid for the concrete; the Beetz family, which donated the gravel; Nolte Concrete, which volunteered labor; and staff members of Mendota High School.
