MENDOTA - NCI Works hosted their annual awards and employer conference Sept. 28 at the Mendota Civic Center. Among those receiving recognition was The Good Samaritan Society of Mt. Carroll, which received the Business Leadership Award for their work with a young BEST, Inc. customer through the On-The-Job Training Program in their maintenance department.
Receiving Individual Achievement Awards for successfully completing training programs were Alysah Adams, Anthoni Patten and Ashley Stuve. Stuve was also recognized last month by the Illinois Workforce Partnership for her success at Clinton Community College and subsequent employment at Metform.
Staff, NCI Works and BEST Board/Chief Elected Officials recognized for commitment to workforce development included BEST, Inc. employees Carrie Folken-25 years of service and Paige Fritz-30 years of service; Sara Escatel, Linda Hessenberger, Cary Robbins and DeAnne White all for 10 years of service on NCI Works; and James Duffy, Kim Gouker, Kevin Reibel and Ron Smith for five years of service to BEST, Inc. as board members and chief elected officials.
