Model Railroad Show and Swap Meet scheduled

LENA - The Depot Stove Gang Model Railroad Club will hold their 31st Annual Model Railroad Show and Swap Meet on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17. The show includes over 30,000 square feet of operating displays, railroad memorabilia and model railroad merchandise, enough to fill three gymnasiums, Lena-Winslow Elementary, Junior High and High School.

Show hours will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be available both days at the elementary school cafeteria. The Depot Stove Gang Show is rated as one of the nicest and largest shows in the Midwest and is a great event for kids of all ages. Rain, sleet, ice or snow, the show will still be a go.

Both the show and parking are free, but the club depends on donations to bring this show to the public. Free will donations are greatly appreciated at the elementary school entrance. The Depot Stove Gang is an Illinois not-for profit organization registered with the Illinois Secretary of State.

Lena is located west of Freeport (1 mile north of U.S. Route 20 on Illinois 73). Directional signs will be posted to guide visitors to 401 Fremont St.
