WALNUT – Over several generations, OSF has been there to care for the King family of rural Manlius, a few times in life-saving situations.

To show their appreciation, the family has donated a mobile health center, Care-A-Van, to OSF HealthCare. The van will service Bureau, Henry, LaSalle and Putnam counties and is expected to begin caring for patients this summer.

Aimed at serving primarily rural residents, the van can provide screenings, immunizations and health education. Working with employers, churches, schools and community organizations, the OSF King Care-A-Van can connect with patients having a health need who might not be able to get to a doctor on their own.
