COMPTON - Private Katelynn Eileen Houle, 19, of Compton graduated from the United States Marine Boot Camp at MCRD Parris Island on Oct. 6. Private Houle successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island and was one of 54 recruits in training platoon 4036.
While in recruit training, Houle earned the title of a U.S. Marine. Following 10 days home on leave, she will report to North Carolina for Military Operational School at Camp Lejeune.
