PRINCETON ­– Mendota’s track teams participated in the Ferris Co-Ed Invitational on April 17 at Princeton. The boys and girls both finished last in the six-team meet.

The Trojans scored 102 points, while Rock Falls piled up 246 points to claim the boys’ team title.

Mendota had a pair of first-place finishes. Brett Mumm captured the discus throw with a measurement of 125-10, while Eli Otterbach took top honors in the high jump with a height of 5-10.

In the girls’ competition, the Lady Trojans scored 62 points. Rock Falls was the overall winner with 256 points.

Mendota’s best finish on the day was second place earned by two Lady Trojans. Abby Phalen had a distance of 31-11.5 in the triple jump, while Devin Wade went 6-0 in the pole vault for second.
