MENDOTA - Chase Stremlau, a senior at Mendota High School, received the Jody Herman Smith Memorial Award at the high school’s awards assembly on May 10. Eligible candidates must have extensive knowledge and passion to learn more about cars, must have completed auto mechanics classes, and must be enrolled in continuing education for the pursuit of a career in auto mechanics and/or auto body finishing/repair. Generosity, kindness, a good GPA, and an excellent work ethic must also be demonstrated. Chase is the son of Nicholas and Tracie Stremlau of Mendota. (Photo contributed)
