The Mendota Lady Trojans managed to squeak out a 3-2 victory over Rockford Lutheran in varsity tennis action on Sept. 19 at the MHS courts.
Iris Espinoza and Grace Brandner swept through the singles matches for Mendota, while Emma Guelde and Natalie Landgraf earned a hard-fought doubles win to put the Lady Trojans over the top.

The Lady Trojans competed in the LaSalle-Peru Invitational on Sept. 23. The team finished fifth in the standings.
Espinoza took third place at No. 1 singles, while Brandner was fifth at No. 2 singles.
