OREGON – The wrestling season has come to a close for Mendota’s three sectional qualifiers. The trio each lost their two matches in the Oregon Class 1A Sectional on Feb. 9-10.
Tony Aughenbaugh competed in the 126-pound class and was pinned in both of his matches. Jason Needs (152) was also pinned in his two bouts, while Arturo Serrano suffered a pin loss and a decision loss in the 285-pound category.

152 – Trystan Altensey (Riverdale) pinned Jason Needs (Mendota), 2:45; Jason Hermann (Lena-Winslow) pinned Needs, 3:40
285 – Logan Lee (Orion) pinned Arturo Serrano (Mendota), 2:34; Nick Eddinger (Sterling Newman) dec. Serrano, 8-3
