MENDOTA - Mendota High School is celebrating Homecoming week, Sept. 17-22. This year’s theme is “Candyland.” The week began with an assembly in the stadium, games, and announcing this year’s king, queen, and attendants.
School spirit days include Class Color Day, Fashion Disater Day, Candy Land Day, Meme/Around the World Day, and Purple and Gold Spirit Day.
Sophomores won 1st place in the hallway decorating contest.
Students will gather for a pep assembly on Friday before dismissing early for the Homecoming Parade at 3 p.m., downtown Mendota. Sophomore and varsity football games vs. Dixon High School begin at 5 p.m.
The festivities will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 22 with the Homecoming dance in the MHS gym with entertainment provided by DJ Freddy.
