ROCK ISLAND – Head coach Kelly Bethke has announced the 2019 award winners for her Augustana College women’s volleyball program.
Junior Varsity awards went to freshmen outsides Abby Phalen (Mendota High School, Mendota, Ill.) and Caroline Hurst (Metea Valley High School, Aurora, Ill.) and sophomore defensive specialist Madison Crawford (Mt. Zion High School, Decatur, Ill.). Phalen was named MVP and Hurst Most Improved, while Crawford collected the Augie Award.
Senior outside Grace Bialobok (Homewood-Flossmoor High School, Homewood, Ill.) collected Most Valuable Player honors for the third year in a row for the Augie varsity squad.
Augustana College finished the season with 13-19 overall record.
