MENDOTA – The first practice for the 2022 Mendota Youth Football League season will be Monday, Aug. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the practice facility by the Mendota High School bus garage.
Youth football is for anyone entering fifth through eighth grade in the upcoming school year. All youth who are in this age range are welcome to participate. A player cannot be 15 years old by Nov. 1, 2022.
Players who report for the first practice should wear shorts, T-shirt, football shoes or gym shoes. Also, players are encouraged to have their sports physical completed by their first day of practice.
Registration forms are available at the Mendota City Clerk’s office at 800 Washington St.; First State Insurance at 715 Washington St.; and Kurt Bruno State Farm Insurance at 1103 Main St. The cost to participate is $80. Thirty dollars will be returned if you volunteer to work at various jobs at any of the home games.
