MENDOTA – The Mendota Lady Trojans will play in their own Mendota Class 3A Girls’ Regional Basketball Tournament to be held Feb. 11, 13, 14 at the MHS gym.
The tournament will open on Monday, Feb. 11 when Rochelle takes on Genoa-Kingston. The winner of that game will move on to play the top seed in the sub-sectional, Sterling, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13. The second game on Feb. 13 will pit Mendota against Dixon at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The two winners of the Wednesday games will battle for the regional championship at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14.
The winner of the Mendota Regional advances to the Rochelle Sectional where it will meet the survivor of the Plano Regional at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18. The other sectional teams will come from regionals at Maple Park (Kaneland) and Stillman Valley.

Monday, Feb. 11
1 – (9) Rochelle vs. (10) Genoa (G.-Kingston) – 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
2 – (1) Sterling (H.S.) vs. Winner Game 1 – 6 p.m.
3 – (4) Mendota vs. (5) Dixon (H.S.) – 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 14
4 – Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3 – 7 p.m.
