Mendota Rotary awards scholarships to MHS seniors

MENDOTA - Five Mendota High School seniors, Marie Barnickel, Rylee Klema, Grace Brandner, Natalie Landgraf and Pamela Taylor, were presented with Four-Way Test Award Scholarships by the Mendota Rotary Club. They were each presented a check in the amount of $500 for education expenses by Rotary president Roger Anderson on May 15.

Barnickel is the daughter of Gale and Christina Barnickel, Klema is the daughter of Larry and Tina Klema, Brandner is the daughter of David and Dorothy Brandner, Landgraf is the daughter of Mitch and Tammy Landgraf, and Taylor is the daughter of Michael and Theresa Taylor.

The Rotary’s “Four-Way Test of the Things We Think, Say, or Do” is: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. It is FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Rotary extended its appreciation to the businesses that displayed their scholarship donation jars and to everyone who gave donations.
