PERU - Two Mendota residents, Kirsten Eddy and Rachel Reppin, are the recipients of $1,000 health careers scholarships from the Illinois Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary.
Eddy, a registered nurse who works in the IVCH obstetrics unit, is studying for her Bachelor’s degree in nursing through Western Governors University. Her ultimate goal is to become a nurse practitioner.
Reppin, who is working on a nursing degree at Northern Illinois University, received the Auxiliary’s Ruth Daniels Memorial Scholarship. Reppin’s goal is to care for children as a pediatric nurse.
