Mendota Police Dept. supports micro pantry at First Presbyterian Church

MENDOTA - The Mendota Police Department gave a monetary donation to help support the micro pantry located at Mendota First Presbyterian Church on Aug. 28. The funds were made possible through a collaboration with the Salvation Army and last year’s Red Kettle Drive held during the holidays. MPD also used a portion of the Red Kettle Drive funds to donate $750 to the Mendota Area Christian Food Pantry. Left to right, Mendota Police Chief Greg Kellen, presents a check for $350 to Jessica Cox and Rev. Susan Presley of First Presbyterian Church. Presley said they were very thankful for the support they have received from the Mendota Police Department. The micro pantry is intended to help anyone in need and runs by the philosophy, “Take what you need, leave what you can.” (Photo contributed)
