OTTAWA – The Mendota boys’ tennis team will compete in the Ottawa Sectional. The action will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, May 20 and continue at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 21.

Other schools in the sectional include Coal City, LaSalle-Peru, Metamora, Morris, Ottawa, St. Bede, Pontiac, Princeton and Streator.

The first four places in both singles and doubles will advance from each sectional tournament to the state final tournament. The state tournament is scheduled for May 26-28. Arlington Heights (Hersey) High School is the host school and competition will be held at surrounding area courts.
