MENDOTA - The American Red Cross held a blood drive on Aug. 24 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. There were 62 presenting donors and 70 good units were collected including 42 whole blood and 14 double red cell donations.
First time donors were Kathy Otterbach and Todd Zimmerlein. Volunteers for the day were Sandy Schroeder, Margy Frey, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny, Lori Schlesinger and Lori Simonton. Mendota Subway again donated sandwiches for the donor luncheon. Black Brothers Company also sponsored sandwiches and chips for the drive. There was a great turnout and everyone’s time and donation are greatly appreciated.
