MENDOTA – Mendota Just For Kix recently competed at the annual Together We Dance Competition in Streator. The competition was held at Streator High School on March 3. Mendota Just For Kix took 14 classes to compete on Sunday against other Illinois Just For Kix teams. Mendota team placements included Mini Hip Hop 5th Grade - 3rd place, Mini Hip Hop 4th Grade - 1st place, Mini Jazz - 2nd place, Middle Core - 2nd place, Junior Lyrical - 3rd place, Junior Jazz - 2nd place, Senior Hip Hop - 1st place, and Senior Kick - 1st place.
Mendota JFK will continue their competition season by attending a Together We Dance Competition in Decorah, Iowa on March 30 and then finish in Minnesota at the Rochester Nationals April 26-28.
Mendota Just For kix offers classes for ages 3-18 in the styles of kick, ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip hop and is directed by Rachel Moore with instructors Taylor Bullard, Cecillia Stover, and Maren Wise.
