MENDOTA – The Mendota Police Department is confirming an ongoing and open investigation regarding allegations of misconduct involving a staff member at Mendota High School and a student.
On Wednesday, May 8, the Mendota Police Department was contacted by school officials and an investigation was initiated. MPD is working with the high school, LaSalle County State’s Attorney and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to address the allegations.
The staff member has been placed on leave during the investigation. Due to the open status of the investigation, the police department is not releasing any further information at this time.
The Mendota Police Department and Mendota High School are committed to the safety and security of students and staff at MHS.
