MENDOTA – The Mendota Lady Trojans are the top seed in the sub-sectional and will host the Mendota Class 2A Regional Softball Tournament.
The action will begin with Bureau Valley playing at Princeton on Monday, May 14. The winner of that game will face Mendota in the semifinals at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the MHS field. The other semifinal-round game will pit Prophetstown against Hall on Wednesday, May 16.
The two semifinal winners will battle for the regional title on Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m.
The winner of the Mendota Regional will advance to the Oregon Sectional to meet the survivor of the Byron Regional on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. The other sectional participants will come from the Oregon and Port Byron (Riverdale) regionals.
