MENDOTA - In accordance with Governor Pritzker’s order to close bars and restaurants and limit large gatherings through at least April 7, and in the interest of public health, the leadership of the Mendota FFA Alumni & Supporters have had to cancel the planned draw down fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at the Mendota Elks Lodge 1212.
They wish to thank all of the people who supported them by purchasing tickets and donating items to the auction. At this time, organizers would still like to hold the drawing itself, although this may have to be done from a remote location and streamed through social media. When it has been determined that it is safe to do so, the members of the Mendota FFA Alumni & Supporters will meet and discuss options to carry out the draw down.
The FFA Alumni & Supporters are optimistic that the mandated closures, travel restrictions, self-imposed quarantines, and good hygiene practices will help health officials get the COVID-19 outbreak under control quickly and allow all of us to get back to regular routines.
In the event that it becomes impossible for them to hold the event within a reasonable timeline, it will be canceled and tickets purchased will be refunded at that time. Plans are already in the works for the 2021 Mendota FFA Alumni & Supporters Draw Down, which has been scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2021.
