MENDOTA - Mendota School District 289 will have its fall preschool screening for children ages 3-5 who reside within the district. The screenings will be held from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5 at First United Methodist Church, 100 E. Sixth St., Mendota.
L.E.A.S.E. (LaSalle/Putnam County Educational Alliance for Special Education) will screen key developmental areas such as motor development, speech, language, vision, hearing and general readiness. The screenings are intended for all children in District 289 who will be 3-5 years old by Nov. 15 and who are not currently enrolled in kindergarten.
Parents are urged to take advantage of the services provided at no cost by L.E.A.S.E. and District 289.
