Football and golf players can practice Aug. 6 as long as they have a physical examination.
The practice schedules for the fall sports are as follow:
Cross Country – Practice will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 4:30 p.m. Athletes should meet behind the school by the gym/cafeteria entrance ready to run. Cross country athletes and parents will meet in room 304 after the mandatory athlete meeting on Aug. 5. Contact Kevin Wohrley at kwohrley@mendotahs.org for more information.
Cheerleading – Will issue uniforms on Monday, Aug. 13 from 9-11 a.m. Contact Coach Cady Schmidt @ cadydeholtal@yahoo.com for more information.
Football – Practice will begin on Monday, Aug. 6 at 6 a.m. at the MHS Auxiliary Gym. Contact head coach Keegan Hill at khill@mendotahs.org for more information.
Golf – Practice begins Monday, Aug. 6 from 6-8 a.m. at the Mendota Golf Course. Golfers who are playing in the Junior Tournament, you do not need to attend the 6 a.m. practice. Contact Coach Brian Blumhorst at bblumhorst@mendotahs.org for more information.
Girls’ Tennis – Practice will begin Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 8-10 a.m. at the MHS tennis courts. Parent meeting will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 at MHS Cafeteria. Contact Shawn LeRette at slerette@mendotahs.org for more information.
Boys’ Soccer – Practice begins Wednesday, Aug. 8 at the grass field from 8-9:30 a.m. for JV players and 8-10 a.m. for varsity and all goalkeepers. Concussion Testing will be Thursday, Aug. 2 at noon for all who need it. Contact head coach Jason Artman at jartman@mendotahs.org for more information.
Volleyball – There will be a mandatory student meeting for those ladies interested in participating in volleyball this fall on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.
