Rayanne Sester, right, Mendota Area Senior Services (MASS) executive director, recognizes Allen Bonnell as MASS 2018 Volunteer of the Year. Bonnell was honored at the MASS volunteer recognition luncheon and annual meeting, Feb. 6. He donated 159.25 hours of time in service to Mendota Area Senior Services (MASS). Bonnell is a MASS board member and serves as president. He is also a volunteer driver, where many of his hours were logged on the road taking clients to medical appointments. Bonnell and other volunteers who helped MASS during the past year were honored at the luncheon. Runner-up was Bernice Spanier with 158.5 service hours. Spanier calls Bingo and helps with newsletters and fundraisers. In total, volunteers donated 1,504 hours last year. (Reporter photo by Jennifer Sommer)
