OREGON - MaryLou Reeser, 76, passed away Feb. 5, 2020 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
Visitation will be from 9-10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Drive, Rochelle. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ruben Herrera officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Rochelle.
MaryLou was born Oct. 22, 1943 in Mendota to Raymond and Anna Mae (Stephenitch) Gehant. She married Gerald “Jerry” Reeser on May 18, 1963 in West Brooklyn.
Survivors include her husband of Rochelle; two children, Mark (Denise) Reeser of Rockford and Margaret (David) Lundquist of Loves Park; six siblings, Karen (Melvin) Bonnell, Susan (Larry) Eddy and Pat (Terry) Moyer, all of West Brooklyn, Kathy (Tim) Burkardt of Amboy, Sherrie (John) Jacobs of Dixon and Mike (Colleen) Gehant of Mendota; one sister-in-law, Barb Gehant of Mendota; and four grandchildren, Hayley and Nolen Reeser and Cameron and Mary-Margaret Lundquist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Don (Tonna) Gehant; and one sister, Janet Hornung.
MaryLou worked for over 30 years at the Rochelle Newsleader. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed their pool and vacationing with Jerry for several years at Marco Island. She was a Longaberger basket collector and had one for every occasion.
