MENDOTA - Mary A. (Salahub) Brodko, 96, of Oglesby died Sept. 20, 2017 at Heritage Health Care in Mendota. 

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 25 at the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home in Oglesby followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Oglesby with Rev. Gary Blake, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Valentine’s Cemetery in Spring Valley. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24 at the funeral home with Liturgical prayers at 3:45 p.m.

Mary was born Jan. 11, 1921 in Danville to Steve and Mary Salahub. She married Arthur Brodko on July 10, 1954 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Ernest (Carole) Esposito of DeKalb and Frank (Nancy) Brodko of Mendota; seven grandchildren, Michael, Gregory and Jeffrey Esposito, Lynne Meyer, and Steve, Amber and Adam Brodko; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Charles Esposito; one sister, Christine Ambrose; and two brothers, Mike and Bill Salahub.

Mary was a member of Holy Family Church, Oglesby. She worked for International Harvester in Chicago and Broadview until her retirement.
