STREATOR – Marjorie Ruth Beedle, 95, formerly of Streator, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at the Henry Rehabilitation Health Care.

Private family services will be held with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Marge was born on July 16, 1927, in Meriden Township to Ray and Gladys (Ansteth) Rod.  She married Ralph “Shorty” Anderson on Nov. 19, 1979.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2015.

Surviving is a son Dennis (Rita) Beedle of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Darlene (Harold) Meisel of Mendota and Mary Jane Bradford of Paden, Okla.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph; son Curtis Beedle; sisters, Virginia Pillar and Charlotte Coates; and a brother Johnnie, who died in action in 1944.

Marge graduated from Mendota High School in 1945. She was an insurance agent for Met Life for many years. Marge was a member of the King’s Daughters, Streator Unlimited board, and Engle Lane Theater.
