She was preceded in death by her husband.
In 1953, Marilyn moved to Santa Barbara, Calif. In 1967, she and Jerome settled with their two children in Los Gatos, Calif. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Cupertino, Calif. A terrific mother, accomplished cook and avid reader, Marilyn was a lifelong learner with a great sense of humor. While she enjoyed cooking, gardening and classical music, Marilyn took great interest in politics, economics and finance. She attended college later in life, graduating with honors from San Jose State University in 1973, and began substitute teaching. She returned to college to study finance at the University of Santa Clara. She accepted a job with Hewlett Packard and continued working there until 1993. After their retirement, the couple moved to Mendota to be close to Marilyn’s father, Alvin. Upon his passing, the couple moved to Roseville, Calif. where she was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Ascension.
