MENDOTA - Marillyn Jeanne O’Neill, 96, of Mendota passed away Aug. 19, 2019 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Fulgens Rutatekururwa officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:30–6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22 at the funeral home.
Jeanne was born Aug. 30, 1922 in Oak Park to Arthur and Helen (Farrell) Barlow. She married Charles O’Neill in South Bend, Ind. on June 7, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Haas of Franklin, Tenn.; one son, J.J. O’Neill of Beloit, Wis.; two granddaughters and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and a son-in-law, Arlan Haas.
Jeanne was a member of Holy Cross Church and Federated Women’s Club. She played the organ and piano. She enjoyed cooking, playing bridge and growing and arranging flowers. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
