MENDOTA - Maria D. Navarro, 71, of Mendota passed away April 13, 2019 at the Mendota Lutheran Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at the Schwarz Funeral home. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Maria was born in Mexico to Juan and Justa (Robledo) Figueroa. She married Juan E. Navarro. He preceded her in death in December of 2016.
Survivors include one son, David (Alma) Navarro of Fontana, Calif.; two daughters, Elizabeth (John) Gonzalez and Veronica (Jose) Diaz, both of Mendota; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Anastasia Rivera; three brothers, Rutilio (Socorro) Figueroa of Duarte, Calif., Juan Antonio (Maria) Figueroa and Jose (Socorro) Figueroa, both of Mendota; and one sister, Ildeliza (Jesus) Sandoval of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Jaime Navarro; one brother, Baudelio Figueroa; and one sister, Maria Figueroa.
Maria was a homemaker and lovingly cared for her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Holy Cross Church.
