MENDOTA - Margarett M. Wood, 48, of Mendota passed away Dec. 13, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21 at the Merritt Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Private burial will be at Henry Cemetery in Henry at a later date.
Margarett was born Dec. 9, 1970 in Princeton to Robert and Donna (Lusietto) Nally. She married Charles Wood on July 27, 1990 in Peru. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Wood of Mendota; two sons, Charles Wood and Matthew Wood, both of Mendota; one brother, Daniel Tomaszewski of Amboy; her father, Robert Nally of Ohio, Ill.; her adopted father, Daniel Tomaszewski of Cherry; three sisters, Michele (Jason) Mickel of Texas and Sarah (Clark) Wood and Lena Rosario, both of Florida; and one grandson, Riley.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband in 2009; an infant son, Michael; and her mother- and father-in-law, Clarence and Lorraine Wood.
Margarett was a 1988 graduate of Hall High School in Spring Valley. She was employed as a cashier at Sapp Bros. in Peru. She loved her animals especially her dog, Emma.
