“March To A Million” cancer campaign gets added boost from area bank

Posted

MENDOTA - Eureka Savings Bank recently became a major sponsor of The Relay For Life of Upper Illinois Valley “March To A Million” campaign. In addition to a $500 donation near the beginning of the campaign for Relay For Life of Upper Illinois Valley and team support and donations to the LaSalle County Relay in Streator, Eureka Savings Bank donated an additional $1,000 to The March To A Million cancer campaign.

“These funds provide free cancer-support services to anyone in the communities we serve,” said Mendota Branch Mortgage Lender Jesse Arellano, “as well as broad, national research and prevention programs to defeat the disease.”

Campaign Chairperson Mitch Landgraf noted, “We were in the final stretch with a hefty amount yet to raise, so boosts in giving like this were generous, noble and timely. We are very grateful for Eureka’s generous support in our special year.”

Eureka Savings Bank President and CEO John McCormick noted, “It is a privilege for us to support the great causes in our community.”

Anyone wishing to donate to the Relay For Life of Upper Illinois Valley’s March To A Million campaign may do so through Aug. 31 at www.1mil.org.

Cancer information and access to free services and supports to any Illinois Valley community member are available 24/7 in any language at 1-800-ACS-2345 or at www.cancer.org.
