MENDOTA - Luis S. Gonzalez, 58, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 25, 2020 with his daughter by his side, at OSF St. Francis in Peoria.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mendota. Rev. Hector Valle will officiate.
Luis was born June 21, 1961 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Alonzo and Ignacia (Gazpar) Gonzalez. He married Martha Garcia in Brownsville, Texas in 1976. She preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 2019.
Survivors include one daughter, M. Eleni (Noe) Ocampo of Mendota; five grandchildren; two brothers, Alonzo (Olga) Gonzalez of Seattle, Wash. and Cayetano Gonzalez of El Paso, Texas; and one sister, Hermila (Antonio) Castro of Sandwich.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
During his work career, Luis was a forklift driver for Del Monte Foods in Mendota. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Peru.
