TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Loriann Griswold (Tanis) Yung, 56, formerly of Mendota, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 27, 2019.
A celebration of her life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the First Baptist Church, 244 Washington St., Traverse City, Mich. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date.
Loriann was born Nov. 4, 1963 in Seoul, Korea and was adopted at age 5 by Art and Bette Griswold of Mendota.
Survivors include two sons, Jonah Tanis and Joshua Tanis, both of Traverse City; three brothers, Jeff (Andrea) Griswold, of Mendota, Mike (Lhen) Griswold of the Philippines and Brad (Debbie) Griswold, of Fallbrook, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Kodak.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kirk Griswold.
Loriann worked her entire career in the legal profession as a certified paralegal and also served as secretary of the National Association of Legal Secretaries. She was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
Flowers may be directed to the church the morning of the service.
