Local Tea Party to discuss candidates, party platforms

Public invited to hear speakers at March 22 meeting

OTTAWA - The LaSalle County Tea Party will hold its first meeting of the year on Friday, March 22 at Pitstick Pavilion, North Route 23, Ottawa. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will kick off at 7 p.m.

The public (all ages) is invited and there is no cost although donations are gratefully accepted.

The program will feature Larry Smith of the LaSalle County Republican Central Committee and Dani Brzozowski of the LaSalle County Democrat Central Committee presenting candidate information and respective party stances at the local, state and federal office levels.

Ottawa mayoral candidate Julie Johnson will also be in attendance to give a brief presentation on what she would do as mayor.

This is an outstanding opportunity to hear both sides of our political system and ask questions of both major parties as well as a mayoral candidate.
