Local ministers showed their support for law enforcement by visiting the Mendota Police Department during National Police Week. MENDOTA - On May 15, the Mendota Area Ministerial Association visited the Mendota Police Department in observance of National Police Week. The group of local ministers, Pastor Hogun Kim of Zion United Methodist, Pastor Kent Svendsen of First United Methodist, Pastor Susan Presley of First Presbyterian, Pastor Kevin Weeks of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Clarion, Pastor James Duncan of Come As You Are Baptist, and Chaplain Kent Terry of the Mendota Lutheran Home, said a prayer of blessing for the officers and wished them the best.
They also showed their support with signs from First United Methodist Church, a plaque from Come As You Are Baptist, and a thank you card for each Mendota Police Department employee from the children of Zion United Methodist Church.
