SCHAUMBURG - Lillian Harriet (Peterson) Roush, 95, of Schaumburg went to her heavenly home on May 13, 2018.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m.–noon on Friday, May 18 at First United Methodist Church in Mendota, with the service immediately following at noon. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Mendota.
Lillian was born Jan. 29, 1923 in Genoa, Neb. to Godfrey and Lilly (Johnson) Peterson. She was married to Everett Roush for 64 years until his passing in 2012.
Survivors include three children, Larry (Linda) Roush of Williamsburg, Va., Bruce (Toni) Roush of Franklin Park and Vicki Wobrock of Streamwood; six grandchildren, Valerie and Austin Roush, Dustin and Trevor Wobrock, and Maryann and Joe Stopka; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Raymond (Bud) Peterson; and four sisters, Elaine Campbell, Vivian Hokanson, Marilyn Jacobson and Odetta Holder.
After graduating from high school, Lillian joined her siblings in Illinois, where she met her husband. She was a member of First United Methodist Church since 1959 and volunteered for the church’s Women’s Ministry. She was a full-time mother to her three children. She was raised in the Baptist faith and was a devout Christian her entire life.
Memorials may be directed to the family or donor’s choice.
