MENDOTA – The Graves-Hume Public Library will host “The Golden Age of the Accordion, The Lawrence Welk Era” on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
The program will be presented by Howard Manthei. Hear popular music, watch a multi-media presentation of vintage scenes and personalities from Lawrence Welk’s TV program, and learn about the famous band leader himself. It was one of the most famous shows ever broadcast, playing for more than 50 years. Call the library at (815) 538-5142 to sign up for this entertaining program.
